She tried to think of someone to give these beautiful roses to being that it seemed a little silly to keep them just for herself. Her husband was away on business, and still being a newcomer to the town, she simply didn't have any friends close enough to warrant red roses. So you see, she simply had no other choice but to bring them home and enjoy them. Someone must enjoy $2 long stem roses, right?

This author has often treated herself to flowers, whatever the version may be, because I love them and it's a great treat. And, don't want anyone to think that a girl has to wait on boys (husband or not) in order to get flowers! :) Who made up that rule anyway (a boy, no doubt)!
Yes, you should enjoy those beautiful roses.. Just if for no other reason then your husband being out of town on business..
